Will and the People

UK

Hempiness Music Festival is extremely proud to have Will And The People take our stage. Over the years, Emanuele not only collaborated with Will And The People, he lived and grew with them. Emanuele first met Will before The People even joined, and for almost a decade, they worked and traveled together as a band, and as a family. Will And The People, and their management, have been a massive support and help in bringing together this first edition of the Hempiness Music Festival. After being in hiatus since 2016, their reggae-influenced sound has incorporated a rougher melodic edge. With a musical palette that takes in rock, grunge, acoustic and reggae, and influences ranging from singer-songwriters like Jack Johnson to Nirvana, Will and the People are self-confessed magpies, taking the best bits of what they like and making it their own. Their music offers up a melancholic optimism, anchored by instantly gratifying melodies and spirited guitars. Gigantic, EP just released, with its cascading two-step verse and anthemic chorus, offers up Will’s hope for the world. The song represents Will and The People’s musical ethos. “Our sound is hard-hitting and punky with sharp edges,” says Will, “but it’s melodic, and that comes from that desire to write a song that you could hum even before you’ve got anything else.”

Sticky Fingers

AU

We are so excited to have Sticky Fingers headlining at the very first edition of Hempiness Music Festival. The Australian band, and their management, have been an incredible help in making this extraordinary event happen. Sticky Fingers met Emanuele whilst he was touring with Will and the People in Australia. They were immediately drawn together and started actively collaborating. Emanuele joined Sticky Fingers on their legendary European Tour in 2016 and since then followed them around the world becoming much more than a sound engineer, a member of the family. After two years off, Sticky Fingers are back and making new music. Their single ‘Kick On’ released at the beginning of 2018 marked their return to the music scene. Then finally in 2019 the new album ‘Yours To Keep’ was release kicking off a Headline World Tour selling out at venues in Australia, Mexico, Europe, NZ and Indonesia. The latest album also includes ‘Not Done Yet’. The videoclip of the song has been filmed in the breath-taking location of Pian Grande di Castelluccio and is dedicated to our beloved friend Emanuele.

Mòn

IT

Mòn's history dates back to 2015 and since their debut the band has been considered one of the most interesting acts in the Italian music scene. Following the success of their first EP 'Lungs' and its video clip, they've been steadily performing throughout Italy. Their first LP 'Zama', released in May 2017 with Urtovox Records/Supermota, was received with great enthusiasm by critics, who defined it as an absolute revelation. Their sound is a mix of post-rock and ambient, elekto-folk and indiepop, within the very framework of harmonies and delicate nuances which insinuate their exceptionally varied musical research.

Yey

IT

YEY was born on the small island of LANAI. The project then migrated to Sweden because cold weather keeps you young, and YEY doesn't want to grow old. With the heart stuck in the ice of Lidingö, "Stockholm" was born and, after a transplant, the story continues, and YEY becomes 1, 2, 3 ... many! An old juno, ramshackle drums, a mic, a tape recorder and lots of cowbells create an amazing TROPICAL- INDIETRONIC-DANCE tune. "HONOLULU", his last song, has a warm and tropical flavour, emblem of that paradise that we all seek.

Over the Summer, whilst waiting for the release of his first album, he'll be touring throughout Italy.
