How to reach Norcia:
Coming from the North?
Follow the A1 in the direction of Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto, from there take the road in the direction of Spoleto-Norcia (km45).
We advise taking the tunnel ‘Forca di cerro’ from Spoleto. Take the exit at ‘Sant’Anatolia di Narco,’ and continue in the direction of Norcia and Cascia, along route 209 through the valley of the river ‘Nera’. From the adriatic coast: Take the ‘Cesena Nord’ exit on the Bologna-Bari highway. Continue in the direction of Perugia and from there follow the directions provided above (following the A1).
Coming from the South?
Exit the A1 at ‘Orte’, and continue in the direction of Spoleto.
From the adriatic coast: Take the A14 to San Benedetto del Tronto. From here take the road in the direction of Ascoli Piceno and continue towards Norcia.
In collaboration with the administration, three parking lots are dedicated to festival-goers, and are located around the town’s centre. A free ‘park-and-ride’ bus-shuttle service will be available from the parking lots to the festival grounds. We encourage everyone to make use of alternative transport, such as cycling (5 minutes), or enjoying a leisurely walk (20 minutes) through the stunning natural landscape.
The closest train station is in Spoleto (that runs along the Roma-Ancona route). From Spoleto there are several daily buses reaching Norcia in approximately 50 minutes. Additionally, it is also possible to reach Norcia from Terni (along the same Roma-Ancona route) by bus.
The closest airport is Perugia (120km distance).
The Rome-Fiumicino airport (180km distance), is directly connected by train to Spoleto (approximately 2 hours).
